  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 12 oz semisweet chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press into the springform pan to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes and let it cool.
  3. Beat softened cream cheese until smooth; add sugar and vanilla extract. In another bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks. Fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture along with melted chocolate.
  4. Pour the mousse over the cooled crust and smooth out the top. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
  5. Once set, remove from the springform pan and dust with powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and salt before serving.
