  • 2 cups peanut butter (melted)
  • 1 cup chopped peanut butter cups
  • 1 cup peanut butter pieces
  • 10 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line and grease a 9"x13" baking pan.
  2. Prepare the devil's food cake mix according to package instructions and pour into the pan. Bake for about 25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  3. Poke holes all over the cooled cake with the back of a wooden spoon and pour melted peanut butter over it, ensuring every hole is filled.
  4. For the frosting, beat together peanut butter and softened butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt until fluffy. If needed, incorporate heavy cream to achieve desired consistency.
  5. Frost the top of the cooled cake and sprinkle with chopped peanut butter cups and pieces.
