  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 (15-ounce) can chopped stewed tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 (15-ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, cook the ground beef with garlic and onion until browned, about 10 minutes. Drain excess liquid.
  2. Add chopped stewed tomatoes, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, oregano, and cayenne pepper. Stir well to combine.
  3. Reduce heat to low and cover the saucepan. Let it simmer for one hour, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in pinto beans and salt; cook for an additional 15 minutes.
  5. Serve hot in bowls and enjoy!
