  • 1 lb ground turkey (or chicken)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 8 oz uncooked lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, cook the ground turkey until browned.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3 minutes, then stir in the minced garlic.
  3. Mix in crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, sugar, salt, and pepper; bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in broken lasagna noodles and cook for about 10–12 minutes until al dente.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine ricotta cheese with half of the mozzarella and mix well.
  6. Once noodles are cooked, stir in the cheese mixture until creamy.
  7. Serve hot topped with remaining mozzarella and fresh basil.
