  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8 x 8 baking dish with parchment paper and lightly spray with non-stick spray.
  2. In one bowl, mix together granulated sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until combined. Gradually add to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and orange food coloring; mix until well blended.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish. Add dollops of the cream cheese mixture over it and top with remaining brownie batter. Gently swirl with a knife.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
