Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 8 ounces raspberries

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and 1 cup of sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved (about 5–7 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Allow it to cool completely.
  2. Blend raspberries with 2 tablespoons of sugar and strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds, creating a smooth puree.
  3. Pour the cooled base into an ice cream maker and churn until you reach soft serve consistency.
  4. Divide the mixture into two parts: mix one with orange juice and desired food coloring, and the other with lime juice and green food coloring.
  5. Layer the mixtures alternately in a container and freeze for 4–6 hours until firm.
