  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp espresso powder (optional)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 package candy eyes
  • 20 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9 x 9 inch cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and dark chocolate together until smooth. Stir in sugar until dissolved.
  3. Using a stand mixer, beat eggs until frothy, then mix in the melted chocolate mixture followed by vanilla.
  4. Add flour and mix until just combined, then fold in remaining dark chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting.
  6. Melt semi-sweet chocolate chips with coconut oil for coating, dip each brownie, and refrigerate to set.
  7. Decorate using icing made from powdered sugar and heavy cream to create bandages, then attach candy eyes.
