  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Season 4 small chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for about 3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F/74°C). Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, crushed pineapple, minced garlic, ground ginger, onion powder, black pepper, and sesame seeds. Whisk to blend.
  4. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce. Serve immediately over steamed rice.
