  • 5 egg whites
  • 10 oz granulated sugar
  • 15 oz cold butter
  • ½ cup strawberry puree
  • food gel coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, vegetable oil, sour cream, milk, vanilla extract, and chicken broth; mix until smooth.

  5. For the frosting: Whisk egg whites and sugar over a double boiler until dissolved; then beat until stiff peaks form. Gradually add butter, strawberry puree, and food coloring.
